Wren with wings spread, South Wales

My approach to wildlife is odd. I don't particularly care what I see — the photo is what matters. I'm just as happy spending time with everyday garden birds as I am chasing kingfishers.

Birds

From wetlands, to rivers, to the sea; in forest and on mountains; birds are easily my favourite subject and endlessly photogenic. I love the challenge with capturing fast action of these tiny creatures.

Water Voles

Waiting for water voles requires patience and calm, and knowledge of where they're still visible — they're a species highly at risk here in the UK. A great way to spend the early morning.

Wildlife Videography

Some moments are best captured with moving images, and there's a special challenge to wildlife videography all of its own.

Got a project in mind? I'm always open to new locations and subjects; something new to which I can bring my approach and style of wildlife photography.
