This photo, which I previously posted in a short collection of eclipse photos in Cardiff, was picked this week (8th of September 2026) for The Guardian's "Reader's Best Photographs" section.

I always struggle to chase publication for my photos, partly because I don't tend to read many of the places that do publish photos. I am, however, a fan of this section on The Guardian and check it out each week, as it always features a wide variety of interesting shots from people you won't have heard of before. So I finally took the plunge and submitted the photo above.

They actually didn't tell me it had been published, which is quite funny, and I instead found out through a friend noticing it.

Anyway, my thanks to The Guardian letters team for publishing it, and go check out the other photos. I particularly like Kadir Mumyakmaz' pigeon photo myself.
